GREAT AS AN ADDITIONAL GRAMMAR!
This Hebrew Grammar is not thorough enough to be used as an independent introductory Hebrew Grammar.I used Page Kelley's Introductory Hebrew Grammar along with the companion handbook to work independently.Kelley's grammar equipped me to skip Hebrew I and II at seminary.But reading Hebrew for Biblical Interpretation along with a solid grammar can be a rewarding exercise.One of the great things about the grammar is that it gives you more than morphology, phonolgy, and some syntax--it actually involves you in the exegetical process that scholars and students alike engage in.One is introduced to the sigla of the masoretic text.If one is looking for a manageable review this book is for you.

Excellent Introduction
This is a good introduction to Biblical Hebrew, or alternatively, a good review for someone that has been away from the language for a while, and is returning.Its strongest point is that every other chapter involves some aspect of Biblical studies (and is not strictly about grammar).This provides a grounding in the language that conventional grammars do not have.Because of this, this book is a good spring board for further studies in Biblical Hebrew. ... This biography of the life of Arthur Henry could have been reviewed in our literary section, but is featured here for its far-reaching and lively presentation. Author Theodore Dreiser's shocking first novel Sister Carrie might never have gained such fame were it not for his closest friend, one Arthur Henry, who prodded him to write fiction and helped him create his first novel. Henry's life also touched many social reformers and other authors of his time: he deserves his own coverage and thanks to new material recently revealed, the Walkers have at last created a biography following his career and influences.

A mystery worthy of Bony himself
A facinating account of the Murchison murders of the late 20's/early 30's, with a series of twists that could easily have come from the pen of Upfield himself. While, as the previous reviewer noted, there are a few (*very* few) tedious spots, usually in location description, this book not only provides what must surely be the definative account of these murders, but a wealth of information about the day-to-day lives of those living and working on the rabbit-proof fence in the 30's. A few typos as well, as one may expect from a small publisher, but nothing glaring. An hard to find book, but one well worth the effort, even for those who have not yet discovered the joys of Upfield's mysteries.

This book deals with a series of very little-known murders in country Western Australia in around 1929.Arthur Upfield, who was to become famous for his fictional detective, Detective-Inspector Napolean Bonaparte, was discussing his latest murder plots.Snowy Rowles, who was present, laterput the same plot into effect, and three men disappeared.Rowles laterhung for the crimes.
