About .NET 247's Newsgroups Spider
At .NET 247, we're all about increasing signal-to-noise. To that end, when we're spidering newsgroups we try to include only messages that we think are important. This is in no way a definitive list of news, so if you want that we suggest using a news reader like the one in Outlook Express. Google Groups , at the present time do not include all of the .NET newsgroups as can be found at news.microsoft.com
Here are the spider's rules:
  • Threads must have at least one reply,
  • Messages must appear to link to at least one class in the Framework,
  • Messages shown in bold with the "blip" icon are high-signal, i.e. we think they are important.

Francis Upton [@nogoop.com] I have a UCOMITypeInfo pointer, but I want to use the

Is there a way I can convert this "wrapped" ITypeInfo pointer to the IntPtr

We are grateful for the generosity of Maree Lamb, Ted Cummins and Kate Styman, Cummins family members who have contributed parts of the information on this page. Colin's grandmother, ELIZABETH CUMMINS, was born 10th October, 1864 at Calabash Creek, Marengo near Young, NSW. Her parents, THOMAS CUMMINS AND JANE HAYDON, were married 14th November, 1855 at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, at Campbelltown. Thomas Cummins had come to this country from Tipperary, Ireland and was born 18th February,1831, the son of James Cummins and Margaret Croak or Croke. He arrived on the " Margaret " on 5th January, 1839. At the time of his marriage Thomas was living at Menangle. His bride, Jane Anastasia Haydon, born 10th May 1840, was from Sugar Loaf, the daughter of John Haydon and Mary Eggleton. Thomas and Jane remained in that area for several years and during that time, MARGARET JANE CUMMINS was born in 1856 at Menangle, and THOMAS CAMDEN CUMMINS was born in 1858 at Menangle. Brother JAMES CUMMINS was born at Campbelltown in 1859, and JOHN CUMMINS at Menangle in 1861. By 1863 Thomas and Jane were living in the Binalong NSW area where MARY CUMMINS was born in 1863. We find that in May of 1866 they were living in the Calabash Creek area where young Mary died

    Notes
According to The Diary of Robert Rose, p. 320 Francis Graves, Jr., who died in 1748, had a nephew Benjamin Graves who had been overseer, first for the Rev John Bagge on Thomas Button's "Range" plantation in Essex Co., in 1726 and earlier, and then for Parson Rose at the glebe in Essex Co., VA.
Francis Graves, Jr. probably was born in (Old) Rappahannock Co., VA because his father died there. Richmond Co. was formed from (Old) Rappahannock Co. in 1692 and Francis Graves, Jr.'s birth date is estimated as 1680, so he probably was living in Richmond Co. not too far from Ann Reynolds when the two were of marriagable ages.

The Fort Miami Heritage Society of St. Joseph, Michigan has received a grant from the Frederick S. Upton Family Foundation to assist the Public History program at Western Michigan University (WMU). The grant will help the program develop its ability to train historians to communicate effectively with academic and non-academic audiences on issues pertaining to the study, preservation, and interpretation of culture and environment. This initiative is the result, in part, of the Public History program's attempt to refine regional approaches to the field and develop a more integrated pedagogical and programmatic framework between universities, communities, and non-profit organizations.
"Fish for All: Perspectives on Lake Michigan Fisheries Management and Policy" is a Public History project, partially funded by a $198,000 grant from the Great Lakes Fishery Trust. Since 1999 project co-directors Chiarappa and Szylvian have generated various historical products: an oral history/documentation project, a 29-minute radio documentary which aired on National Public Radio, a museum exhibit that traveled to four venues around Lake Michigan, a World Wide Web site http://www.wmich.edu/history/publichistory/projects/fishforall.html
