The Professional Certificate in Nonprofit Management is for anyone working for or with a nonprofit organization: directors, staff, board members, and volunteers. It is also intended for those considering a career change to nonprofit professional management. The certificate program provides an opportunity for those in the nonprofit arena to gain and strengthen management skills, acquire thorough understanding of day-to-day operations and management techniques, keep informed about current issues affecting the nonprofit environment, and plan strategically for future needs.
Courses may be taken individually or as part of the certificate program. To earn a Nonprofit Management certificate, participants must successfully complete a total of five Required Core Courses and any five elective courses.
Although completion of the Certificate in Nonprofit Management is encouraged, students may take any course independently that may be work-related or of particular interest.
The requirements for the certificate include full attendance in the following:

Pamela Tate, President and CEO Pamela J. Tate is President of the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) , a national, non-profit educational organization committed to expanding lifelong opportunities for adults and advancing experiential learning and its assessment. Joining CAEL in 1987, Tate has become nationally and internationally recognized for her work in facilitating workforce education and training programs among educational institutions, business, labor and government and for her efforts in assisting colleges and universities to develop systems of Prior Learning Assessment and quality assurance in adult learning programs. Born in Davenport, Iowa, she grew up in East Moline, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign with masters degrees in both English and journalism. She completed her doctoral coursework at the Annenberg School of Communications, University of Pennsylvania. As a presenter, she is regularly sought out for her vision and insights into adult learning and workforce development and their vital relationship to the future of the economy.

Home Division of Special Education State Schools for Severely Handicapped
Outreach Services of the
General Information Each year, Missouri school districts are serving more students who have moderate or severe disabilities. Outreach services available through the State Schools for Severely Handicapped are designed to support these efforts by providing information, personalized technical assistance and staff training to assist classroom teachers and other school district personnel. The State Schools is a statewide public school system serving Missouri students, ages 5-21, with severe disabilities. Students are referred to the State Schools when local school districts are unable to meet their educational needs. Cost There is minimal cost to the school district for using the Outreach Services of the State Schools for Severely Handicapped. The school district may be asked to incur the cost of copying training materials. Reasonable travel expenses of the State Schools staff, which are based upon state guidelines, will be incurred by the local school district. Travel of more than 150 miles may involve overnight lodging and meal expenses. Resources Resource libraries are located in the offices of the Supervisors for Instruction.
