About the Arkansas Missing Children Services Program The Arkansas Missing Children Services Program (AMCSP) located in the Outreach Division of the Attorney General's Office serves as Arkansas' statewide clearinghouse. The mission of AMCSP is to assist in the recovery and prevention of missing children and to educate the public on child safety issues. AMCSP serves as a central repository of information on missing children and is the main point of contact between the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and non-profit missing children organizations in the state. AMCSP provides a statewide toll-free hotline for reports and sightings of missing children, serves as a liaison and provides referrals for families, law enforcement, social service agencies and other state clearinghouses. The clearinghouse maintains a database on missing children cases, flags birth and school records, assists in the creation and distribution of missing children fliers and has NCIC access. As part of their photo-partnership campaign, AMCSP distributes fliers of missing children to law enforcement, schools, social service agencies and many local businesses. The clearinghouse also provides training and technical assistance for law enforcement and assists by providing access to other state clearinghouses and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through Compuserve and the Internet.

MISSING CHILDREN ORGANIZATIONS POLLY KLAAS FOUNDATION THE NATION'S MISSING CHILDREN ORGANIZATION CHILD QUEST INTERNATIONAL NATIONAL MISSING CHILDREN CENTER ... PUBLIC RECORDS NET We hear about it all the time. A child is abducted by a perfect stranger and vanishes forever. If we are lucky enough to catch the scumbag, we usually find he has been in and out of prison his whole adult life. Then the media conducts interviews with the scumbags neighbors, ex-girlfriends, school mates and friends turning him into a instant celebrity. This is probably fun for someone who has lived in prison for most of their adult life.

Our Mission
We are taking the search to millions of homes In 1996 volunteers from television, radio and related fields united together to produce television programs to aid families in their search for missing children. The first program was produced and donated to Find The Children, one of the oldest and most respected missing children organizations in the country. With the success of the first project and positive response from around the country, Lost Children's Network was founded as a 501(c)(3) public charity. Our mission is to continue producing and distributing non-profit television programs to aid families, missing children organizations and law enforcement agencies in the search for missing children. The National Television Project is taking the search for missing children to millions of homes across the country. Each program features the photo's and vital information on 50 missing children Missing Child Alerts are produced and distributed to targeted areas. These 30 second commercials alert viewers that a missing child may be in their area. Weekly television programming is provided to the Law Enforcement Television Network (LETN).These programs are transmitted by satellite to 2000 law enforcement agencies around the country.

"The ability to instantly broadcast a clear photograph of a missing child via fax significantly increases the chances of someone recognizing the child, especially within 48 hours of abduction where timing is crucial." "ClearFax is an excellent tool for getting posters of missing children out to businesses and law enforcement when time is of the essence," said Amy Samsal of the International Center for the Search & Recovery of Missing Children. "Statistics show that 1 in 7 children are recovered as a result of someone recognizing their photograph. Now, with ClearFax, we can get better pictures into the right hands at the right time and bring more children home!"

http://www.fax.com/
Since launching the Internet Emergency Response Network in January of 1999, we have assisted several missing children organizations, law enforcement agencies and individuals with fax poster alerts.
The Internet Emergency Response Network (IERN) is a partnership created with various missing children agencies, to help in the quick recovery of missing children in the critical time period just following a child's disappearance.
There are over 2,200 children that are reported missing every day in the United States. After 24-hours of a disappearance, the odds of finding the child go down 85%.
Our nationwide database of fax numbers and fax broadcast capabilities help develop leads on missing children in targeted regions of the country. This rapid distribution of information on breaking cases has been proven successful in generating leads that can result in the location of a missing child or person.
In addition to faxing missing children alerts, the IERN also helps non profit organizations with fund raising and conference announcements. It also helps law enforcement with fugitive and missing person cases.
