This time hes minus his Pajama Man Lunch Box and flashlight, but he wont be needing them on this journey. Before leaving home in search of Thunder and Lightning to put an end to their troublesome business, however, he still has to find his indispensable, red Pajama Sam Cape so this is the first objective on this adventure. Whoops! Its tricky getting past the gatekeeper at the World Wide Weather station high in the sky, but a little careful observation points the way. And Sam cant meet up with Thunder and Lightning either, until he finds a way to open the door to their observation headquarters then his problems really begin Alas, our hero suffers the teeniest of mishaps and trips on his cape, summersaults in the air and lands squarely on THE RED BUTTON. Now there are hurricanes in Egypt, tornados in Toledo everythings thrown into turmoil!

Extractions: A s the particles within a cloud (called hydrometeors) grow and interact, some become charged possible through collisions. It is thought that the smaller particles tend to acquire positive charge, while the larger particles acquire more negative charge. In this one, our adorable 6 year old hero Sam is terrified by the thunder and lightning of a summer storm. Tired of cowering under the couch, he decides to once again conquer his fears by confronting them at their source as Pajama Sam (with the courage, of course, of his comic book superhero 'Pajama Man'). So, in his footed pajamas and with his little red cape on (blankie?), he climbs into the attic, through the roof, and onto the clouds to discover a giant weather factory in the sky: 'World Wide Weather'. There he meets 'Thunder' and 'Lightning', who are not nearly as scary in person. But in the process he accidentally messes up the weather all over the world. He must find the missing parts for 4 of the weather machines and fix them before Mother Nature finds out. To do so, Sam must interact with wonderful characters and use logic and memory to solve excellent puzzles. Along the way he learns a lot about weather. And your child or grandchild learns many admirable moral and social skills just by watching this little role model, as well as developing an early love for adventure games.

Then again, Dewey Redman, Cecil Taylor and Elvin Jones are very hip, very active old-timers. It delights me to say that Momentum Space (Verve/UMG) is every bit as good as I'd hoped, and more musically vigorous than most jazz albums made by players a third the age of these codgers. I should point out that I'm an Elvin Jones fanatic. I've bought albums by anyone from Pepper Adams to Earl Hines to Pharaoh Sanders primarily because Elvin drums on them, and it's my (debatable) opinion that on those classic '60s John Coltrane albums, Jones, rather than Coltrane, is the prime mover and star attraction. Despite his past involvement in jazz's vanguard, in recent years, with his own band the Jazz Machine and on other people's sessions, Jones seems to have settled down as a slightly left-of-centre hard-bopper. Now and then, though, he crops up on something from left field, like Sonny Sharrock's 1991 album Ask the Ages And now there's Momentum Space . To the best of my knowledge, Jones has recorded only once before with tenor saxophonist Dewey Redman on the 1968 sessions that yielded the Ornette Coleman albums

WHAT HAPPENS: Light travels at 186,000 miles per second but sound travels much slower at only 1/5 mile per second. This means you see the lightning almost as soon as it happens. If you begin counting when you see the flash you know the sound has just started. When you count how long it takes until you hear the sound you can figure out how far away the storm is from you.

Extractions: This is my third Public Missles Ltd. rocket, and my first attempt at high power staging. It has phenolic body tubes and "G-10" fiberglass fins. The kit I bought was fully fiberglassed. It has the Close Proximity Recovery system that requires an altimeter. I'm using a ROCKETMAN R4C and R3C parachutes. I am also using 5/8" tubular Kevlar® in place of the nylon straps and elastic shock cords. Extractions: Thunder Mountain Lightning Humans The Thunder Mountain Lightning was formed after the breakup of the Mighty ThUnderGround Alliance by 'Mighty' Martyn Xeron, Derek Broadsword, and Billy 'Hands' Thompson. Early on in their existence, Star catcher Martyn had the living snot fouled out of him by a couple of unruly undead. Multiple and frequent serious injuries with lasting effects kept them in bad shape. But through all of this, the Lightning somehow managed to fill out their roster and put some talent on it to boot. And furthermore, Derek Broadsword and 'Hands' Thompson made the connection to score just frequently enough to keep them in the game at all times. The Lightning continued to grow. They became steadily more talented and better able to score. This continued right through the Chaos Cup II season, when the Lightning went undefeated, 4-0, including handing the Kings of Chaos their only defeat. Ever. (Of course at the beginning of Blood Bowl II season, they rematched the Kings and had four players killed, including Derek Broadsword) The Lightning are now one of the powerhouse teams in the league. They are affectionately known as the Thunder Mountain Rehabilitation Clinic, due to their high team rating and history of general inability to inflict casualties.
