Extractions: Students who have been admitted to study at a faculty - regular degree students - are required to pass the Norwegian Level III test and the course Norwegian Life and Society before they start their studies at the faculty. ERASMUS, NORDPLUS, bilateral agreement students and guest researchers/students may also sign up for these courses provided there are places available. An intensive beginners course in Norwegian has been designed to suit the particular needs of ERASMUS, Quota, NORAD and other programme students. The course aims at introducing students to Norwegian culture while providing them with a functional level of Norwegian for practical everyday use. The course consists of 70 hours spread throughout the semester. Students are given the opportunity of taking a written and oral exam ( level I ) if they wish to do so. The course is mandatory for NORAD Fellowship Students. Other programme students must register. The number of places available are limited.
